Welcome to SMR Organic Farm, a peaceful mountain farm in Loakar Village, Mondulkiri, Cambodia. Surrounded by forest and guided by indigenous wisdom, we cultivate coffee and community with care for nature and people. Our farm is more than a place of agriculture — it is a space for learning, volunteer work and intercultural hospitality.
About Us
SMR Organic Farm was established in 2018 by a group of individuals with a deep love for nature and extensive experience in supporting farmers and local communities. Our farm is part of a community‑rooted project located in Loka Village, Mondulkiri Province, Cambodia. We hold a strong conviction that this farm will become a model location for sharing experience and knowledge about agriculture based on natural principles and sustainability. We believe that the land we are currently utilizing will continue to be viable for use by future generations.

Our plantation is home to a diverse range of crops, including coffee, avocado, banana, cocoa, jackfruit, pineapple, and more. We cultivate these varieties based on the specific soil conditions and the geographical layout of our land. In the face of the global climate crisis and water scarcity, planting “Cover Crops” is vital for the health of both the soil and our main produce.
While we grow many things, our priority remains Coffee. To support this, we have strategically planted bananas, jackfruit, avocados, and luxury timber trees like Rosewood (Krahnoung) and Pterocarpus (Thnong) throughout the farm. These trees help maintain humidity, act as windbreaks, serve as natural shields against pests, and attract beneficial insects, allowing us to avoid chemical pesticides

All our accommodations were designed and established based on the core vision of our farm. As introduced on our homepage, SMR Organic Farm originated from a group of individuals dedicated to nature and clean, fresh air, and who wanted to create a genuine farm-like atmosphere.

Our simple, yet profound, goal is for every guest who stays with us to feel like family, gaining a deep sense of refreshment and peace in the heart of nature. We extend our sincere gratitude to all our guests. Beyond their regular support and visits, they have continually helped introduce our farm to others, allowing more people to discover and share this unique experience.

Volunteering at SMR Organic Farm is an invitation to grow alongside nature and community. A peaceful mountain farm in Loakar Village, Mondulkiri, Cambodia. Surrounded by forest and guided by indigenous wisdom, we cultivate coffee and community with care for nature and people. Our farm is close to the forest, where you can go trekking to enjoy beautiful views of nature.

We sometimes visit local farmers in our community, including Indigenous families who also take part in coffee cleaning services. We hope you will enjoy traveling with us and learning how local people and Indigenous communities live.
In the evenings, we gather for free conversation and sharing ideas. This can include singing, playing music (if you have an instrument), or simply exchanging stories. I once had an electric piano, but sadly it is broken now.
